About Us
HELLO!
We are Kassie and A.J Whiting, a husband and wife team who share a love of photography. We met when I (Kassie) was 15, and have been together ever since!
Photography has always been a major part of our life. As a husband and a wife, and parents of two kids who are growing up way too fast, we know how precious time is and how important it is to document every possible moment, no matter how big or small. We love to make sessions fun and get genuine smiles, and we often embarrass ourselves to get them!
OUR ROLES:
We kind of play off of each other when it comes to photography. He’s the techy one who sets up our lights and works with all of the new equipment while i’m the creative who plans out sessions, does the editing and posing, etc. His strengths are my weaknesses and vice versa. I’ll tell him my vision, he’ll tell me it won’t work, we’ll bicker about it, and I’ll gladly rub his face in it when it all comes together, haha! On the other hand technology hates me. If my camera is fighting me (and it does that a lot) I just hand it over to him. He’s my tech support. That means if you see me hand him my camera during a session and he gives me the side eye… mind ya business!
OUR STYLE:
We absolutely love a classic, timeless look with a whimsical twist. Our goal is to capture memories that will last a lifetime with photos that tell a story, and that you will proudly display in your home for years to come. Instead of applying a quick preset that will quickly date your photos, we hand edit each individual photo to keep those gorgeous colors and details.
Our motto is quality over quantity. One gorgeous photo that you are absolutely in love with is worth so much more than 1,000 that you kind of like. We would much rather put all of our energy into posing and perfecting a handful of beautiful images than to deliver 100’s of snapshots.
